The Belgian label does this first and foremost in its new winter collection with the Sakura series, by integrating the power and freshness so characteristic of Japanese gardens. Stylized wintertime cherry blossoms reign supreme in this set. The Belgian studio is the beating heart of Marie Jo, which the Sakura series illustrates with verve: the expertly-crafted floral print features a perfectly balanced flower design on each cup, regardless of the size. It’s a sublime example of the craftswomanship so unique to this Belgian fashion house. The arresting purity of Sakura, the Japanese blossom par excellence, against the midnight-blue background sets the tone for a bold lingerie collection that carries you along with the elegant rhythms of a stage performer.
The eye-catcher in this series is the balconette bra with a vertical seam. The cups are adorned with the glamorous duo of opulent Swiss embroidery and sophisticated French lace. The embroidery is from the renowned Swiss studio Forster Rohner, while the lace is produced by the French luxury manufacturer Sophie Hallette, which has long been praised for its refined lace designs for numerous couture collections. In other words, Sakura injects a strong dose of glamor into the everyday.
This winter, flowers symbolize the inherent intuition that is the pearl hidden in every feminine personality. Marie Jo portrays the discreet power of female intuition in a highly refined way. Alice stands out thanks to the unique floral print. Inspired by jazz musician Alice Coltrane, this series masterfully alternates floral embroidery with a floral print, finished with tulle that stylishly echoes the same floral pattern. What’s more, Alice boasts an unprecedented feat of European craftsmanship. For the embroidery, Marie Jo's design team delved into the rich print archive of Forster Rohner, a highly-regarded Swiss embroidery specialist. The Belgian design team then combined the vintage print with elegant Swiss embroidery. The Slovenian company Inplet printed the revisited floral print on high-quality tulle in the exact same color palette. The entire design was finished with French Leavers lace from historical lacemaker Noyon for an ultra-feminine result, created for living and loving.
The beloved Avero also has a starring role this winter. This series gets a warm update with fashionable bottle green: a dark, richly satisfying shade. The latest Avero is a striking all-rounder that radiates feminine elegance and stylish comfort. This all-occasion set combines the Belgian craftsmanship of Liebaert with the Swiss quality of Forster Rohner. The result? A luxurious custom-made set thanks to the well-thought-out combination of innovative waffle fabric and adorable floral embroidery, finely finished with delicate crystals.
