Marie Jo L’Aventure Winter 2018: Scandinavian design meets power lingerie

Thursday, July 19, 2018 — Marie Jo L’Aventure is inspired by the Nordic fjord landscapes which are immovable, yet sophisticated. The sheer power of simplicity defines this collection. But the flower is also present, even if in a more nuanced manner. Luxurious simplicity plays with the expressive contrast between classic elegance and Scandinavian minimalism.

Marie Jo L’Aventure is inspired by Scandinavian furniture designers such as Arne Jacobson, Hans Wegner, and Poul Kjærholm. More simply put: L’Aventure translates rugged nature into abstract class.  This results in a graphic collection that sees the Chanel plaid make a comeback and the denim look is given an elegant interpretation. Sporty chic dominates the collection with special attention being paid to creating the perfect fit. The collection encapsulates intense luxury comfort for every-day wear.

The colour palette and floral prints have been influenced by the work of American painter Ellsworth Kelly who was known for his minimalistic use of colour and natural floral drawings. Abstract flowers flourish in fine line drawings on smooth cups. Marie Jo L’Aventure seduces with the unadulterated feeling of absolute freedom: lingerie that feels like a second skin.
