That’s why Marie Jo's in-house innovation team has developed a DIY Bra Size Scan using AI. This smart tool can determine your bra size in less than 2 minutes. Quickly, accurately, and whenever and wherever you want.

Scan yourself anytime, anywhere

You can control the online version of the Bra Size Scan at home with your own smartphone, via the camera. The best part? No app download needed! “We wanted to make the technology as accessible as possible,” says Lien Van de Velde. “No complicated apps or downloads. The at-home Bra Size Scan works through the default camera app. Just pop your smartphone in front of you and a voice will guide you through the process. It’s that easy!” Another great feature is that you can keep your bra on during the scan. The Bra Size Scan is also available in select lingerie boutiques, where you can use an iPad hanging in the fitting room to operate it.

Smart AI technology based on real women

The Bra Size Scan was designed and developed by the in-house innovation team at Van de Velde, the lingerie group behind the Belgian brand Marie Jo. The Bra Size Scan uses AI to calculate your bra size, with the help of an incredible model based on data from thousands of anonymous body scans. “All of the data was collected in-house, including from women in the neighbourhood, colleagues, through collaboration with training courses, ... This approach aligns perfectly with our philosophy of developing, testing, and adapting our products with and for real Marie Jo consumers.”

Marie Jo's innovation team also made sure that the tool works in realistic situations. "Even in the comfort of your own bathroom, where the lighting isn't quite perfect, you can still get accurate results. No problem! The models are designed to give the right size advice even in less-than-perfect conditions."

The cutting-edge AI models have been developed in collaboration with Belgian AI expert Superlinear. “We worked with them to train the models, and now they can find the right sizes in no time at all.”
